what is leukemia

What is leukemia?

Under the name cancer, a set of diseases characterized by an anomalous production of a certain cell type of the organism are included. These cells have a rate of growth and division beyond normal limits, so they progressively invade the body.

Leukemia is the uncontrolled proliferation of an abnormal population of blood cells. These abnormal cells infiltrate the bone marrow, preventing the production of the remaining normal cells and invading the blood and other organs.
